CARLSBAD, CA -- DIMM technology is advancing rather rapidly, and AcuPrint has released two different DIMM modules that go in the users' HP LaserJet Printer and work in conjunction with AcuPrint's SecureCheck Printing System. These DIMM modules are known as the Capture DIMM and the Strip DIMM. The Capture DIMM is a technical support tool used to capture data from the accounting application exactly as the printer sees it. This allows AcuPrint's technicians to analyze the data and diagnose any problem much more rapidly. The Strip DIMM is specifically designed to strip out any PCL commands in the check data that may conflict with SecureCheck's operation. Beta testing has shown that these tools have reduced the volume of calls to Technical Support and greatly increased resolution time as well.
